Like any proud dad, I want to write a blog post about my dog!
Sage will be 12 in March, and it has really taken the whole team at K.Vet to get him here in such good health.
Sage is some kind of mixed breed dog (I've told him he's a Love Hound!).
At 2 1/2 years old he blew out his left ACL (knee/stifle). He had TPLO surgery at PVSEC. We did rehab exercises with him 3 times a day. He got Reiki every day (thanks to my wife, who is a Reiki master). And, of course, he's been under Chiropractic care his entire life (with lots of help from another Certified Animal Chiropractor early in his life).
He worked with Dr. Konegger for some Acupuncture, and a regimen of Chinese herbs to get him through a scary part of his life when he was 9. Dr. K also helped us nail down several food allergies that had caused several episodes of skin irritation over the course of his life.
Dr. Hill now sees Sage for monitoring of his hypothyroid condition, that we treat successfully with Thyrovet (after Thyroid supplements proved to be insufficient to help Sage maintain normal Thyroid levels).
We took x-rays of Sage about 2 years ago. I can happily report that both of his knees (stifles), both of his hips, and his low back (lumbar spine) have maintained very well.
I check Sage for Chiropractic care every week. He also gets a laser treatment every week, to insure the continued health of his low back, hips and knees (stifles).
Every animal that comes to see us at K.Vet is entitled to this level of care and this level of cooperation between all of the doctors here. It is our sincerest wish to be an integral part of your companion's health throughout his life.
At nearly 12, Sage is happy, healthy, and as active as he has ever been.
Just don't come to our house unannounced. He might not let you in.

Beautiful dog! So glad Sage is doing well. I also offer my dog Frosty Reiki on a regular basis!
