Beth has been with veterinary medicine for over 27 years in one shape or another. She attended the University of Findlay in Ohio and majored in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Biology with a minor in Chemistry and it was during those years that Beth first began to work as a tech in a veterinary practice. She’s traveled to various places including State College, Georgia, and Tennessee all the while working a as a technician. During her stay in Georgia, she was invited to sit for the State Boards due to a grandfather clause allowing people with experience to take the test. She passed and became a Registered Veterinary Technician. She wound up back in her hometown of Greensburg and first came to work at KVet not long after they first opened the doors. After several years, Beth left to start her own business, building up a Direct Sales following and ghostwriting blogs for a few different skin care companies. She's now back with KVet once again and excited to be a part of such a great team.

Beth enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities like hiking, backpacking, and camping, as well as horseback riding and swing dancing/Lindy Hop. In addition, her life is punctuated by dog sports like Obedience, Agility, and Retriever Hunt Tests and she guides local pheasant hunts with her faithful Golden Retriever, Fozzie. Her collection includes 2 other goldens, Cappy, and Ari (a tri-pawed) and a thoroughbred horse named Reese.

The horse is Beth’s animal because there is just nothing quite like jumping on the back of a several hundred-pound animals and galloping across a field or cantering along the trail. It's exhilarating.

My K. Vet Superpower is probably organizing and planning - I'm a very linear thinker and can help to implement what the visionaries are able to conceptualize, helping things run smoother so we can offer our clients the best possible experience.

Sharon graduated with high honors from CCAC with a degree in Radiologic Science. Before working at K. Vet, Sharon was a Board-Certified Radiologic Technologist at a local hospital. She is also a Certified Equestrian Massage Therapist, trained by Equissage in Round Hill, VA. She was a senior store manager for many years, managing stores in Greensburg, Taunton and Hyannis, MA. Sharon and her husband, Steve, share their home with their rescue dogs, Cain, a Rottweiler and Mama, a pit mix, their cats, two American Quarter horses, Mick and Bear, chickens and of course the leader of roost, The Colonel, a rooster.

Favorite animal?  Can’t pick one!  My animals are part of my soul for different reasons!  But if I must pick, I guess I would pick horses.  Because I am in my happy place when I am with my horses.

Newman graduated from Vet Tech Institute in 2007 and obtained her National Certification that same year. She started working for a small animal private practice for 7 years before expanding her horizons in Emergency Veterinary Medicine. Newman spent 10 years working as The Lead Urgent Care and Surgical Nurse at a fast-paced 24-hour animal hospital gaining a new set of skills and knowledge to help further her career and feed her passion for taking care of animals of all kinds as well as their owners. She started at K. Vet Animal Care in the summer of 2024 and fell in love with the alternative medicine we provide for pets as well as the common compassion that is expressed towards both pets and owners. Newman is motivated by the chance to grow her knowledge and skillset within this practice to help better serve the community by providing quality care for her patients. Newman takes great pride in raising her daughter, Scarlet, alongside of her husband, Tommy. As a military wife and mother, Newman leads a busy, active lifestyle outside of work. You can find Newman at the gym in her spare time, keeping up with her former lifestyle as an NPC Figure Competitor. She and her family love traveling the world and experiencing new adventures. Newman is happiest at home with her family, 2 bulldogs Ellie and Hobbs, as well as her barn full of chickens and her 3-legged rescue goat, Tinkerbell.

Nicole started her veterinary career under the teachings of Dr. O’Laughlin at Grace Veterinary Clinic in 2012. Since then, she has been working in different clinics to gain experience. In 2020, she decided to start online courses at Ashworth College to become a certified veterinary technician. She plans to graduate sometime next year and take her boards. In her free time, she enjoys kickboxing, going to the gym, and binge-watching her many television shows.

Nicole’s superpower at K. Vet is being the Chihuahua whisperer.

Brittany B received an Associate’s Degree in Liberal arts from Westmoreland Community College before deciding to go to Vet Tech Institute where she graduated in 2020. She has four Shih Tzu's, a one-eyed pirate named Percy, and three spunky pups named Zola, Juniper, and August. In her spare time, she likes to read, hang out with friends and family, and spend time with her dogs.
Brittany's favorite animal is the red panda because they are adorable and playful.

Alexsis joined the K Vet Animal Care team in April 2024 with 10 years of experience in the veterinary field. Alexsis’ family includes her husband, Tony, and a basset hound named Luigi. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, dancing with friends, shooting pool, and spending time with family.

Alexsis' favorite breed of dog are hounds. She loves them because they have very unique personalities. Her overall superpower at K Vet is making people laugh.

Lauryn is a Certified Veterinary Technician who graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in 2015. She passed her state boards exam in the spring of 2016. For the first 5 years of her career, she worked as a CVT at an Equine only practice and tended to horses. Lauryn joined the K. Vet team in the summer of 2020 after deciding she wanted more small animal experience and to also pursue her interests in canine rehabilitation. When not at work, you will find Lauryn hanging out with her family, her 2 dogs (Dexter and Artie) and her house cats (Arnold and Chubbs). She also spends time each day at her family farm taking care of her horse (Dyna), 2 rescue cows (Adamma and Tallulah), as well as her group of barn cats she has spent time caring for over the years. When she can she loves to go kayaking down the river, hiking with her dogs and taking her horse on trail rides to watch the sunset.

Hillary graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh in 2006. She joined the K Vet team in November 2018. Her family includes her husband, Rick, their sons, Lyric, Miles & Coleson along with their cats Ellie & Gracie and their beagle, Atlas. In her free time, she enjoys being outside, hiking, crafting and interior design.
Hillary’s favorite animal is a cat. She loves them because of their personality, attitudes and beauty. They give her pure joy.

Hannah attended and graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh in 2015 and became a CVT in 2016. They started working at K Vet Animal Care in 2018 and now primarily work as the clinic’s surgical and anesthesia technician. This includes intubating patients, monitoring them under anesthesia, assisting the surgical doctors, taking dental radiographs, and performing dental prophylaxis.
Hannah’s pet family includes five dogs; Lumi, Mavis, Fable, Fling, Stolas, and a cat named Pickle. They like to spend time outdoors hiking in nature and taking road trips. Hannah also enjoys training tricks and obedience to all her pets and competes in AKC agility and conformation.

Nicole discovered her passion for animal care as a young girl playing with her grandfather’s barn cats. After spending 20 years working in other industries, she decided to pursue her calling and graduated from PennWest California’s veterinary technology program in 2023. That same summer, she passed the VTNE and became a certified veterinary technician.

While Nicole loves working with all animals, she has a special affinity for cats and takes pride in caring for both feline and canine patients. In her free time, she enjoys sewing, crafting, and spending time with her husband and their eight beloved cats: Ryuko, Moa, Bagheera, Onyx, Loki, Gamora, Felix, and Jones

Holly graduated in 2006 from the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh. She has only worked at 2 other clinics; she was with the one prior to coming to K Vet Animal Care for over 16 years! Holly loves dentistry, client education, and has a Cat Friendly certification. Holly lives with her husband, Matt and 3 geriatric rescue cats Batley, Marina, and Marvin. Holly enjoys reading, crafting, and playing board games in her spare time.
Holly’s favorite animal is the penguin because they are not only cute, but they are always happy and clumsy like her.

Jess has had a love of animals since she was quite young. She wanted to be a vet from the time her mother explained to her the existence of something called a "veterinarian". Becoming the next big thing (and regrets nothing), she performed many internships and job shadowing before working as a kennel assistant at PVSEC while studying at the Vet Tech Institute. Upon graduating from there in 2015, she worked in many types of environments and has learned many different approaches and techniques in veterinary medicine. She became a certified veterinary technician in April 2022, and she hopes to continue obtaining her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in veterinary technology as well as obtain a veterinary technician specialty. This is important to her so she can provide as much care and knowledge for her clients and patients as possible.

Jess’ favorite animal is kind of a difficult one, she would have to say Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and pandas.

Jess’ superpower at K Vet is being a calming presence to her patients or any patient she is a part of helping. She always tries to provide support to patients when they are afraid or in pain. Whether it be a comforting voice, a gentle embrace or hug or just making them feel safe, she always feels it is part of her job to provide the reassurance and safety to her patients, no matter what treatments they are receiving.

Kari graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Saint Vincent College in May, 2023. Kari joined the K. Vet family in December of 2020 in hopes to gain experience in the veterinary field, in which she initially gained interest in after her travels in Liberia, Costa Rica, where she assisted in surgeries at a mobile veterinary clinic and worked at a local shelter. Kari is a current resident of Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, where she enjoys spending time with her three younger siblings, dog-Moses, and cat-Jinx. When not at K.Vet, Kari loves to hike, play tennis, attend concerts, and paint.
One of Kari’s favorite animals is the American Crow, Corvus brachyrhynchos, because of their high intelligence and human-like abilities.

Victoria attended and graduated Pittsburgh Career Institute in December of 2022. She is aiming to take her exam by the end of 2023 to become a certified veterinary technician. She did her externship with us and joined the team after graduation. When she isn’t at work, she enjoys painting, hiking and fishing, road trips, and spending time with friends and family. As well as her dogs Sidney, George, and her cat Ozzy. Small animal medicine has always perked her interest. Victoria’s passion all started with her grandmother whenever she was little, who rescued and fostered plenty of avian and small exotic pets.

Victoria's favorite animal is a sloth because "well, they’re adorable and take their time. Also very chill and lovable."

Bri attended the Pittsburgh Career Institute graduating with a degree in specialized technology to become a Veterinary Technician at the end of 2022, joined K Vet during her externship and has since stayed with them. She plans to take her boards in the upcoming year to become a CVT.

Bri has always been an animal lover and always heard, "You can't save them all" which made her all the more determined to try. One of her daily goals is to make those around her smile and laugh, usually by telling bad dad jokes. She shares her home with 5 unique kitties, and a spunky bunny rabbit. In her personal life, she enjoys music, binge worthy tv shows, gaming, creating jewelry, adventuring, and spending time with loved ones.

Lauren graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in April of 2022. Her family has been long-time clients of Dr. Konegger, so K Vet has been her dream job since she was younger. Lauren moved to State College in 2020, which meant her dream would have to wait. She finally moved back home in October 2023, which is when Lauren started with us. She shares her home with two cats named Cannon and Tito, a ferret named Layla, and many saltwater fish tanks! In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking, crafting, and spending time with family and pets.

Gabby has wanted to work in veterinary medicine her entire life and hopes to use her skills to help animals feel better and live long, happy lives. Her favorite part is knowing that there is always something new to learn. She has been working in the veterinary field for the past 6 years and is especially excited to explore what Traditional Chinese Medicine has to offer at K Vet!

When she's not working or studying, you can find Gabby drawing animals, eating pasta, or spending time with her dogs and cats. Her favorite animal is a pig, because they have such playful, goofy personalities and are among the most intelligent animals on the planet.

Gabby's superpower is that she is thorough in her duties and very detail-oriented. She likes making sure owners understand every aspect of their pet's care from start to finish, and enjoys getting to know everyone and meeting their fur babies!

Leah is an undergraduate student at the University of Findlay where she is studying Animal Science with a Pre-Vet emphasis. Her goal is to become a vet, specializing in small animal and equine medicine. She enjoys spending time with her dog, Duchess, horseback riding for the Findlay dressage team, spending time with friends and family, archery, going to the gym, and digital art.

Leah’s favorite animal is a dog because they are the embodiment of unconditional love.

Lillyenne is finishing her final semester in the Pennwest University's veterinary technology program! She is excited to get more hands on experience at K. Vet Animal Care and really expand her skill set. Lillyenne plans on taking the VTNE and getting certified as a veterinary technician in Spring of 2025. Lillyenne has two of her own furry friends: a kitty named Binx and an Aussie named Mochi. Lillyenne loves finding new trails/parks to explore with Mochi and you can always find her reading.

Phon was born and raised in Vietnam. She has always been passionate about helping animals. It makes her feel better whether it helps the owner or the animals. Phon wanted a career that would allow her to deal directly with animals. She enjoyed feeding, playing, and caring for the animals as part of her senior project and helping out at Animal Friends, but she soon realized that she was interested in treating and improving the lives of animals. Phon went to VTI in 2024, gaining more knowledge in Veterinary medicine. She is going to continue to grow her interests and is determined to pass the exam.

Bel joined the K Vet Animal Care team in Jan. 2024. She may be new to K. VET, but she is no stranger to veterinary medicine. She has practically grown up in the field, soaking up everything she can. While still in high school, she hopes to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. When not working, she loves training and showing her German Shepherds. Bel has a special interest in canine reproduction and is a huge advocate of responsible breeding.

McKenzie worked in the beauty industry for 8 years while also working part time dog walking and pet sitting. She finally found her spot here with us in January 2022. McKenzie has 3 dogs, Rue, Koda and Raya and 1 cat Binx. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time with family.

Laura worked her way up the ladder in retail for over 11 years before joining the K Vet Animal Care team in June of 2021 as a CSR. She shares a home with her enthusiastic Pit bull Terrier Mix, Ahsoka Tano, the crazy Husky mix, Kanan Jarrus, and her guinea pig, Figment. In her spare time, it’s rare to find Laura without a camera in hand as she enjoys dabbling in photography, with wildlife being her favorite subject. You might have even seen her work on the website or over on social media. She also enjoys spending time at the family farm, dreaming of her next Disney trip, and whether it be gaming, walking, or going to events, she’s always trying to find time to hang out with her friends (or as she calls them, her second family.)
Laura’s favorite animal is an aye-aye because they are such peculiar creatures and even though most find them “ugly” and are considered bad luck, she finds them adorable and misunderstood.

Rhonda joined the K. Vet family in February 2023. Rhonda grew up in Somerset, Pennsylvania where she completed her Veterinary assistant course at Allegheny Community College in 2001 and AAHA certificate for Veterinary Receptionist in 2008. Rhonda started working in a small veterinary practice in Somerset in 2001 as a receptionist and then an assistant office manager.
In her free time Rhonda enjoys taking care of her many cats, goats, fish and her bulldog "Archie". She also loves going for motorcycle rides on warm days and camping with friends and spending time with family.
Rhonda's favorite animal is a Bulldog, she loves their personality, squishy faces, and wrinkles.

Rachel worked in customer service until she was a stay-at-home mom to her kids for the past 16 years. She joined our K Vet team in September 2022.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 kids and dog Belle.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, doing crafts, and enjoying the outdoors.

Rabbits are her favorite animal because they are adorable and will give you sass back.

Cori attended the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown with a degree in business marketing. Once graduated she worked in retail management for seven years and then went into medical staffing for two years. She found her spot here at K. Vet in August 2022, which is perfect because of her love of all animals. When Cori is not working, you can find her spending time with her son, husband and labradoodle, Murphy.

Lara attended schooling in Altoona, PA where she graduated with her associate degree in Criminal Justice with the original plan to continue education and pursue Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation. In the meantime, Lara found herself in customer service. She worked her way into Retail Management and became a Visual Merchandiser for 9 years where she traveled and got to enjoy various cities. Unfortunately, her position was dissolved which led her to K. Vet Animal Care.

Outside of work, Lara enjoys taking road trips, hiking, crafting, but most of all spending time with her husband, son and two dogs Gordon, and Rocco. She devotes a lot of her spare time to her husband’s company and non-profit along with being very active in her church where she holds positions in Mission Outreach and Technology

Lara’s favorite animal is an elephant because they are loyal and supposed to bring good luck.

Schwartz came to us in January 2011 from a local shelter. He had severe corneal ulcers, and no one was sure his eyes could be saved. Fortunately, Dr. Konegger took exceptional care of him, and saved not only his life, but he was able to retain a good portion of his eyesight as well. He now greets clients and patients and is frequently seen lounging in the reception area.

He was given to the Catfeinated Caffe and tried making a living there but struggled with a gang of youngsters who bullied him. He is of unknown age and origin, a true mystery man, who appreciates the finer sides of life including limitless belly rubs from our CSR/Management team and hanging out on scenic window beds with a view.
